Our Circular or Round tubs are true circles. They can be installed free-standing or inset into a deck and can be used indoors or outdoors. We make circular tubs with exterior diameters of 4', 5', 6' and 7'. The interior diameter is a few inches less to account for the thickness of the sides of the tub.
Circular tub advantages:
There is something special and beautiful about the elliptical shape. When we showed our first elliptical tub it quickly attracted a lot of attention. Our elliptical cedar hot tubs are true works of art, and can include a hand-carved decorative pattern. The ratio of length to width for our elliptical tubs is 4 to 3. For example, a 60" ellipse is 45" wide. An elliptical tub may fit better in a space that is longer than it is wide. This gives ample length for streching out but at a reduced overall volume of water for economy. Elliptical tub advantages:
The choice between a circle and and ellipse is partly aesthetic but partly practical. In some cases an ellipse will fit better in a space that is longer than it is wide. Also, an ellipse gives extra length that allows you to stretch out in a tub with less overall water volume. Remember that the ratio of length to width for our elliptical tubs is 4 to 3. When comparing similar sized circular and elliptical tubs the circular tub will have more capacity. For example a 6' circular tub holds more people and water than a 6' ellipse.
